March 19th - The latest club newsletter has been added to the newsletter section of the site for your online reading, downloading and/or printing! We are working on finalizing the club event calendar for 2004 and hope to have all events listed before March 30th. Check back for more details soon!
NCRC has added a very helpful trail rating system for your reference that will be used for all future club events! This information is also available from the FAQ section of the website. Please check this out and let us know what you think.
November 20th - Information on the 2003 NCRC Holiday Party has been posted! Please look it over and let the organizers know ASAP if you plan to attend this excellent event.
August 31st - The calendar of events for the remaining months of the year (Sept, Oct, Nov, and Dec) have all been heavily updated with additional details and totally new listings. Please check them out! The event listing is very busy for the remainder of the year, so you have plenty of events to choose from.
All club members will be receiving a printed club calendar in the mail within the next 5-10 days.
July 26th, 2003 - The calendar of events for July, August and September have all been updated. New events have been posted and additional details on already listed events are now included. Please take special note of the details for the Black Rock trip as well as the Work Weekend, both in August. New photos have been added to the main page. Postings to the club message boards no longer require a username and password to use!
July 3rd, 2003 - The calendar of events for the month of July has been fully updated. Six new club events are now scheduled. Events for August and September are now also begining to be added, more details on these events will be posted soon.
June 3rd, 2003 - Three new events have been added to the month of June, inlcuding the much-loved anual Blue Lakes trip, a pub night at the Albatross, and a Land Rover tour of San Francisco and the near-by Bay Area! More events for the month of June will be added soon. Keep an eye on the club calendar as we add more and more events for the upcoming summer and fall months!
March 12th, 2003 - Sadly, the Death Valley trip scheduled for March 21st-23rd has been postponed until further notice.
Please consider joining NCRC for the Fouts Springs Volunteer Day on March 22nd! Additional details have been posted regarding the Snow Run, including PROPER MENTION OF THE DATE OF THE EVENT - March 29th and 30th. A NCRC Club Meeting has been schedule for April 9th.
March 4th, 2003 - The Snow Run has been added to the club calendar for the month of March.
Feb 22nd, 2003 - A tenative listing of offical club events has been added to the calendar, once this listing is finalized we will replace the list with the more familiar and useful month-by-month view complete with all events listed in detail. We have also added the latest club newsletter, #23, in the newsletter section.
Dec 12th, 2002 - We've added a map showing the location of this weekends NCRC Holiday Party in case you're unsure of how to get to the location. We've also added the latest club newsletter, issue number 22, to the newsletter section for download! Details on all the most current club officers have been posted to the contact page - NCRC Welcomes Chris Dow as the new VP and Petra Esterle as the new Secretary. The other officer positions remain unchanged.
Oct 24th, 2002 - A great new trip has been posted to the site, the Rover fishing trip
and the details of the NCRC Holiday Party have been updated, please take note of the new information for the party!
Oct 18th, 2002 - An important update to the much anticipated Ham Radio Class has been posted. Please take note of all the details of this NCRC sponsored class as the time, dates, location, cost and contact info have now all been posted.
Oct 15th, 2002 - A number of new club events have been added to the site including Road Trip to Rock Crawl on the weekend of October 19-20, the next Club Meeting and an update to the much anticipated Ham Radio Class.
Sept 30th, 2002 - Sadly, the annual club rally has been postponed. Please make a note of this change in the club calendar. ON the bright side, NCRC has now formally opened it's online forum! Stop by and take part in the discussion!
July 31st, 2002 - The Niagra Rim Trail event has been posted to the club calendar. Updated information for the Hollister Hills Picinic and Trail Class has been posted. The club message forum will be finished and online very soon, as will the new past events section! The past events section will present a chronological list of club events since formation, with trip reports and photos for as many as possible. Also, we've added a very useful master index and table of contents list for all back issues of the club newsletter!
July 3rd, 2002 - Updated information and directions for the Deer Creek/Slick Rock trip have been posted to the site. We've added a complete listing of all club events available on one single page for quick previewing. You can access this new central listing from the club calendar page, below the calendar month options.
June 21st, 2002 - Our club calendar is really filling up! We've added many new events to the listing, including a Nevada Desert expedition, a Hollister Hills Picinic and Trail Class, another great pub night, the annual club rally, a two-part HAM radio class, exploring New Idria, and much more!
The new NCRC t-shirts are coming! They are being printed now. Pricing and availability will be listed shortly. Tan shirt with olive, white and black graphic on back. Club logo over breast on front. If you would like to reserve a shirt or you have questions, contact Jeff Rogers, president@norcalrover.org.

June 19th, 2002 - We've added a new section to the site all about the NCRC newsletter, including what it is, how to submit articles for publication, and best of all, all 20 back issues in PDF format for you to download and read/print!
June 16th, 2002 - We've updated some important information regarding the upcoming Evening with Bill Burke on Thursday, June 20th and the Bill Burke offroad workshop being held on June 22nd and 23rd.
June 13th, 2002 - Please take note, if you should decide to join NCRC for the Evening with Bill Burke on Thursday, June 20th, you need to RSVP to Michael Sewell so that we may gauge how many people are planning to attend. There is also a $17.95 flat charge per person for a large buffet style dinner that will be served before the Camel Trophy slide show that evening.
June 10th, 2002 - Please take note for your reference, the club mailing address has changed! The correct address for mailing to NCRC is 3020 El Cerrito Plaza #269, El Cerrito, CA, 94530. We've updated the club membership application with this new address as well.
June 7th, 2002 - Please note, the time for the South Bay Lunch and Tire Kick being held this weekend has been corrected, it begins at 4:00pm, not 2:00pm as was previously listed.
June 4th, 2002 - The date for the East Bay Pub Night has changed from June 12th to June 26th, please take note! We've also added a great new event to the club calendar, an evening with Bill Burke to be held on June 20th in San Rafel. This event is open to everyone and will include an hour long slide show of the 1991 Camel Trophy!
And speaking of Bill Burke, the offroad workshop being held on June 22nd and 23rd has reached the limit for vehicles able to attend, although there are still plenty of seats available for you to come along in person.
May 14th, 2002 - We've added 8 new events to the club calendar. We are in the process of creating a universal event list that will include all events on one page for added functionality to the club calendar. Look for this addition soon.
May 1st, 2002 - We've added information about the non-NCRC Annual All British Motor Car Show to be held May 19th in Dixon, CA to the club calendar.
April 30th, 2002 - A very important volunteer event has been added to the NCRC calendar, the Volunteer Help for Noise Study in Mendocino N.F to be held May 5th and/or 6th in the Mendocino National Forest.
Just a quick note, the Bill Burke Offroad Workshop is filling up fast and is now limited to 25 people total. If you haven't signed up yet, now is the time to do so!
We've added proper credit to Ben Smith for the extensive background information he provided for the club history in the About Us section.
April 24th, 2002 - A very exciting offical NCRC event has been added to the club calendar, the Bill Burke Offroad Workshop Weekend to be held on June 22nd and 23rd, here in Northern California.
A new FAQ page has been added to the site to aid in answering many of the most commonly asked questions about the club and club trips.
April 23nd, 2002 - We've added a number of new club images to the main page that randomly display and a very detailed history of the formation of NCRC to the About Us section.
The new "Forum" and "Past Events" sections will be available very shortly, and the "Members Only" section will be heavily revised to include merchandise, electronic versions of all previous club newsletters, and additional information for download.
Don't forget, the (non-NCRC) 8th Annual Joe Lucas Mendocino Not-A-Rallye is this coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday!
April 22nd, 2002 - The NCRC site is now undergoing a major update. We're adding new sections, a new navigation, and a new club calendar system! More specific updates will be posted here as the site update is completed. Ongoing, all new information and site updates will be listed here as well.
